Archive: Carnations

Taken on February 20, 2024, in Denver, Colorado, this image shows bouquets of carnations laid atop a photo of a politician that died in Russian prison a few days prior. The words on the photo translate to "Do not give up".
Ricoh GR III (2019) does an excellent job here in the sharpness department at this close distance and aperture of f/7.1.
I just have to remember to get out of my "f/2.8 always and forever" mode to achieve sharpness on this camera, which wasn't the case with the original APS-C Ricoh GR (2016), which was razor-sharp starting at f/2.8.

In case anyone doubts the image's location, here is another perspective from the scene (with activists protesting other politicians' detention in the background).

Settings are the same for the second image, with exception of ISO 320 (I am guessing the sky was too bright, so it had to increase it to expose the foreground properly).
